Key Responsibilities
- Installation Expertise: Journeyman level experience in installation of various roofing materials, with a specific emphasis and mandatory experience in both asphalt shingles and tile roofing (concrete, clay, terracotta, etc.).
- Quality Workmanship: Ensure all installations meet or exceed manufacturer specifications and local building codes, paying close attention to detail on flashings, valleys, and sealing.
- Safety & Compliance: A mandatory commitment to working safely is required. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA), ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and all crew members.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently and effectively to maximize piece-rate earnings while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Material Handling: Capably handle various roofing materials, which are heavy and require careful handling to avoid damage.
- Problem-Solving: Address unexpected challenges and complexities on job sites (e.g., steep pitches, multiple penetrations, multi-story homes) with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven journeyman-level experience (4 years) in residential and/or commercial roofing, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Mandatory Skills: Must have hands-on experience and expertise in installing both tile and asphalt shingle roofing systems.
- Safety Oriented: Must be highly safety-oriented and willing to follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines without exception.
