About Timeless French Lick
Timeless French Lick is the destination brand of the Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), serving as the official Destination Management Organization of Orange County, Indiana. The CVB works to strengthen the destination through tourism promotion, visitor services, destination development, partner collaboration, and strategic leadership that supports long-term community and economic vitality.
Following a recent rebrand, organizational restructure, and the launch of a new website, expanded paid-media program, and refreshed visitor content, the CVB is investing in senior marketing leadership to steward the brand, sharpen campaign performance, and translate destination strategy into measurable visitor demand. The Director of Marketing will play a central role in that work.
About the Position
Timeless French Lick is seeking an experienced, creative, and analytically grounded marketing leader to serve as Director of Marketing. Reporting to the Executive Director & CEO, this position develops and owns the destination's integrated marketing strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels and serves as the organization's senior leader accountable for the performance of the Bureau's brand, advertising, content, and digital programs.
This role is designed for a marketer who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. It will shape campaign architecture and creative direction with the Bureau's advertising agency one day, and then edit visitor guide copy, optimize a Meta ad set, and brief the board on the annual marketing plan the next. The Director of Marketing will manage agency and contractor relationships, the Bureau's marketing technology stack (including the SimpleView CRM and partner portal), brand standards, paid-media planning and measurement, content production, public and community communications, and the development of marketing collateral.
This role will supervise the Brand Strategy Manager, Social Media Manager, marketing interns, and external contractors, with additional positions expected as the organization continues to grow. This role will serve as one of the primary public representatives of Timeless French Lick at local, regional and national events, acting as a proxy for the Executive Director when they are unavailable.
The Director of Marketing will be trusted to shape the public voice of Timeless French Lick while building a modern, data-informed marketing program that inspires travel, strengthens community pride, and delivers measurable results.
This is not a remote or a nine-to-five position. This role requires regular engagement with community events, partner meetings, and industry activities, including frequent evening, weekend, and travel commitments.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the Director of Marketing will help shape organizational priorities while ensuring the Timeless French Lick brand continues to grow in relevance, reach, and measurable impact.

- Steward the Timeless French Lick brand, ensuring consistent application of brand identity, voice, and standards across all touchpoints, including partner-facing, visitor-facing, and internal.
- Lead the Bureau's relationships with advertising agencies and other marketing partners, overseeing scope, performance, creative production, media buying, and analytics.
- Develop and manage relationships with lodging properties, attractions, units of government, and community stakeholders to foster the Timeless French Lick brand adoption locally and regionally.
- Direct paid-media planning, execution, and measurement across connected TV, Meta, YouTube, Google Search, high-impact display, sponsored search, and strategic out-of-home placements; develop and report on KPIs including impressions, click-through, on-site engagement, attribution-modeled visitation, and innkeepers-tax trend correlation.
- Own the destination website and partner portal product roadmap, content strategy and performance, in coordination with vendors and partner-portal users.
- Oversee the Bureau's CRM implementation and operation (SimpleView), including partner data, segmentation, lifecycle communications, and analytics.

- Develop and manage the marketing budget; prepare board- and Tourism Commission–ready performance reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Destination Development on marketing components of the Tourism Master Plan, wayfinding and signage, public-realm activation, and partner co-op programs.
- Coordinate marketing components of the Bureau's grant and sponsorship cycles (Marketing Match, Major Partner Cooperative, and related programs).
- Manage and develop marketing staff, interns, and contracted talent; foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
- Represent the organization at community, regional, state, and national meetings, events, and industry functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
