Role Description:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct, day-to-day support to clients in a medically supervised detox setting. BHTs play a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment while assisting the clinical team in monitoring client needs throughout early recovery.
- Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow confidentiality (HIPAA)
Preferred:
- Experience in behavioral health, detox, residential, or substance use treatment
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation experience
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
