Role Description The Primary Therapist is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, GA, responsible for providing direct clinical services to clients in our behavioral health programs. In this role, the Primary Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities. The clinician coordinates care with the broader treatment team, monitors client progress, and adjusts interventions to support sustained improvement and safety. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, participating in multidisciplinary case staffing, and contributing to discharge and aftercare planning. The Primary Therapist also helps foster a therapeutic milieu that is trauma-informed, inclusive, and aligned with Time Wellness Georgia’s mission of holistic, long-term wellness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Treatment Planning, including creating, implementing, and updating individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Background in Social Work and Case Management, with the ability to coordinate services, advocate for clients, and collaborate with community resources.
- Clinical experience working with Thought and Mood Disorders, Traima and Dual Diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders).
- Current, unrestricted licensure or license eligibility in a relevant field (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Georgia.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline.
- Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and crisis intervention in a compassionate, trauma-informed manner.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in residential, retreat, or intensive outpatient mental health or substance use settings is preferred.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and creating an inclusive, non-judgmental environment for diverse client populations.
