Time to Escape: the Escape Room Experience
Time to Escape is an established escape room business with two locations in Atlanta - one in Downtown Atlanta and the other in Brookhaven. Time to Escape has nine escape rooms with two permanent actor centered escape rooms: "Al Capone's Speakeasy" in Brookhaven and "The Grand Zeppelin" in Downtown Atlanta, GA.
There are two portions of this position - first, is as the in-room actor in our two actor centered escape room experiences. The actor will take on a role and engage with the customers in the escape room, in person. The two escape rooms and roles are detailed here:
- Brookhaven Role: the bartender in the "Al Capone's Speakeasy" escape room; the role is set in a Speakeasy, called "Club Lucky", circa 1929 in Chicago; James has been working for Al Capone for years - and is in too deep; the players in the escape room are undercover agents, and through their actions must convince James to "flip" to their side so the players can find evidence to put Capone away for good. Note: a Chicago accent would be a plus, but not necessary.
- Downtown Role: the co-pilot character in our "The Grand Zeppelin", the players are traveling on the Zeppelin in 1914 and there are saboteurs among the players, who will secretly have their own agenda to complete. The role is of the "co-pilot of the Zeppelin, Note: a British accent or a UK accent would be a plus, but not necessary.
The second portion of this position is as a customer service associate (in escape room terms: game master) to run our other escape room experiences, provide customer service, answer phones, some cleaning duties, open and/or close locations, and perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. The work hours are primarily during the evenings and on weekends, with occasional daytime weekend shift availability. This is not a gig, but a job with regularly scheduled hours.
Availability: This position requires Saturday afternoon and evening availability as that is our busiest day.
The most important part of this job is to create a fun experience for our customers. A fun and outgoing personality is a MUST as this position is highly oriented towards interacting with customers. Creative skills like art, graphic design, and writing are also pluses.

Compensation: The after full training, the wage for gamemaster is no lower than $13.00, and depends on the experience and talents of the candidate. That wage is the default when not running an actor centered room. The wage is $20/hr when running an actor-centered escape room.
