Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, familiarity with Semi-Trucks, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Fleet Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial part in keeping our fleet operational and compliant with safety standards.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, and wheel alignments.
- Fabricate and modify parts using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific repair needs.
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as shocks & struts, axles, electrical systems, and powertrain parts.
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with DOT safety regulations and company standards for quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or automotive technician with dealership or heavy equipment experience preferred.
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical repair of heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with diesel engine rebuild is preferred.
- Knowledge of schematics for electrical systems and hydraulics is essential.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in repair tasks.
- Prior service technician experience with customer service skills is a plus.

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
