This position is expected to start at the beginning of the ski season
Located next to the Wy’East Café in the Wy’East Day Lodge, the Y'Bar is family-friendly. The Y'Bar features hearty, apres-ski food, craft ales from Mt. Hood Brewing Co., and a full bar. Large glass doors overlook the expansive outdoor sun deck, with sprawling views of Mt. Jefferson and the Cascade Mountain Range.
Greet and seat guests, clear tables, fill water glasses, perform stocking and side work, carry loaded food trays and provide outstanding guest service.
Essential Functions
- Greet and seat guests as needed.
- Clear and reset tables, refill water/coffee and tea.
- Pre-bus tables, side work.
- Deliver loaded food trays and serve tables.
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures following company and Y Bar policies.
- Proper delivery of soiled dishes and linens to kitchen.
- Re-stock for next shift.
- Present a professional, quality image at all times.
- Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
- Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Must be service-oriented.
- Must be detail-oriented with ability to set and meet high customer service standards.
- Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests.
- Must have detailed knowledge of all menu offerings.
- Must be proficient in up-selling products and services.
- Know and follow all proper service and reservation procedures.
- Must have valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permit.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
- Must be able to work in tight spaces with balance and poise.
- Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department demands of the position.
This is a part time weekend only position.
Salary : $15
