What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Teacher position at Timberline Schools?
Timberline Schools is a place where rural charm meets educational excellence. We are currently looking
to add one new certified teacher to our dedicated staff.
Because we value finding the "right fit" for our students and our community, we are opening this
vacancy to candidates from several different backgrounds. We have flexibility in our master schedule
and are eager to see which talented educator will round out our team.
We are seeking one qualified candidate with an endorsement in any of the following areas:
• English Language Arts
• Special Education
• Career & Technical Education (CTE- Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Technology,
Family & Consumer Sciences and/or Health Sciences)
• Secondary Electives (Various fields)
We aren't looking for one person who can do it all—we are looking for the best teacher for our
students. Once we review the applicant pool, we will determine which specific subject area will best
serve our current needs based on the strengths of the top candidate.
About Timberline Schools
Timberline School is a small K-12 school serving the communities of Fraser, Weippe, Pierce, Cardiff, and
Headquarters; collectively known as “the hilltop.” The community is very rural and offers great outdoor
recreation, including hunting, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, camping, skiing, and more. We are a Leader in
Me school, focused on developing students’ leadership potential, and have low student-to-teacher
ratios and opportunities for involvement in extracurricular activities.
Qualifications
• Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) as noted above. Preference given
for multiple endorsements.
• Highly motivated, student-focused, and innovative teaching approach.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues across grade levels and subjects.
• Desire to help students explore both academic and career pathways.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Salary
Contingent based on education and experience.
2025-2026 Certified Salary Schedule range: $50,252 - $78,437

Employee medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage paid 100% by the district. Family benefits paid
at 80% coverage. $20,000 employee life insurance and $2,000 dependent life insurance paid by the
district. Eligible for PERSI retirement.

Schedule: Four day school week with periodic Friday work days- 174 contract days per school year
