Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counts, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS) or AS400 platform
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately using RF scanners and other tools
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery
- Handle materials with mechanical knowledge to ensure proper stocking, packaging, and handling of products in compliance with OSHA standards
- Load and unload trucks safely while adhering to heavy lifting protocols; ensure proper placement of goods on pallets or storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by following safety procedures and conducting routine inspections for hazards
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution or manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers with certification where applicable
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques including inventory control systems like WMS or AS400
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment procedures, and stock management practices
- Mechanical aptitude for operating heavy equipment safely and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues
- Experience with materials handling tools such as RF scanners, mechanical lifts, and packaging equipment
- Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in advancing into leadership roles
