Construction Field Technician

Position: Construction Field Technician

Location: Asheville, North Carolina Area

Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and skillset)

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Timberline Construction Group (TCG) is seeking a Construction Field Technician to support disaster recovery and housing reconstruction projects in the Asheville, North Carolina region.

This role assists with subcontractor oversight and is responsible for completing QA/QC inspection reports and submitting the reports with photo documentation of the work that has been completed on mobile home installation and residential home reconstruction projects.

This position is ideal for candidates with construction field experience who enjoy working onsite, coordinating with contractors, and solving problems in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor subcontractors to ensure work meets scope, schedule, and quality standards

• Provide daily field updates and reports to the Construction Manager

• Attend municipal inspections as required

• Maintain daily logs, photos, and project updates in field reporting applications

• Identify and report construction and safety issues and assist with implementing solutions

• Ensure that active construction tasks align with safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Experience in MHU installation, residential construction, or disaster recovery is preferred but not required

• Experience working in field operations

• Basic technology skills operating Microsoft Office programs / mobile apps for reporting

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work in outdoor field environments and travel locally to project sites
