What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Musical Vocal Director position at Timberlane Regional High School?
High School Musical Vocal Director
The musical Vocal Director will be responsible for the vocal skill development of all Timberlane Players cast in the production, including generating a curricular scope and sequence leading towards the production. The Vocal Director is expected to coordinate with the Technical Director and Pit Director and work under the director of the Musical Director.
Potential candidates must have prior experience with musical vocal direction at the high school level. The ideal candidate would be proficient in piano and hold music education certification (not required).
Time expectations would be two to three afternoon rehearsals per week throughout the production timeline to sufficiently prepare students for the scheduled performances with increasing time obligations the weeks leading up to opening night.
Auditions will take place in early December, rehearsals will begin in January, and the performances are scheduled for an evening show on April 9th, 10th, and 11th with a matinee on the 11th as well.
Stipend position $2,064.78; No benefits
