Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using Point Click Care.
- Monitor patient conditions closely, report changes promptly to nursing staff, and assist with specialized care.
- Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions.
- Document all patient care activities thoroughly in medical records while adhering to medical terminology standards and confidentiality laws.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required.
- Demonstrated experience working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, or hospitals preferred.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support techniques.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a caring attitude; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
