The Golf Course Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the turf maintenance machinery, irrigation system components, and all equipment used across the golf course. Working as an individual contributor within a cross-functional groundskeeping team, this role ensures equipment operates efficiently and safely during standard daytime hours with availability for on-call emergencies. The mechanic uses a blend of manual and digital diagnostic tools to deliver preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on turf maintenance machinery and irrigation system components
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using manual and digital tools
- Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment longevity
- Replace parts and manage tool inventory effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all repairs and maintenance
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Perform welding, reel grinding, soldering, and other specialized repairs
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in mechanical repair
