Classification: Hourly non-exempt
Position Summary: Swim Lesson Instructor
The Swim Lesson Instructor is responsible for providing safe, engaging, and effective swim instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels. This position focuses on helping individuals develop water safety awareness, swimming skills, and confidence in the aquatic environment. Instructors are expected to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach private and semi private swim lessons following established curriculum and safety guidelines.
- Evaluate participants’ skill levels and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
- Promote water safety practices and ensure a safe learning environment at all times.
- Prepare and maintain lesson plans, progress reports, and attendance records.
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff regarding progress and scheduling.
- Monitor pool area and enforce facility rules and regulations.
Teamwork:
- Communicates with co-workers & management to solve problems and improve quality & service
- Contributes to a positive and uplifting work environment acting not on their own needs but the needs of others.
- Helps to add to a positive work environment with fellow co-workers to create a pleasant workplace while never taking away from the service given to the member.
Requirements:
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.05 - $18.05 per hour
