We manage log handling, staging, fumigation coordination, container loading, and terminal deliveries. Our operations require precision, safety discipline, and production consistency.Position OverviewTimberEye is hiring experienced Front End Operators and Material Handler Operators to support log yard and export operations in Savannah.This role operates heavy equipment including:Log grapple front end loadersKnuckleboom loadersContainer reach stackers and yard handling equipmentCandidates with prior experience in logging, forestry export, sawmills, port operations, or containerized freight yards are strongly preferred.This is a production-critical position. Equipment operators are responsible for safe material movement, staging accuracy, and supporting container loading schedules.Core ResponsibilitiesOperate log grapple front end loaders and/or knucklebooms safely and efficientlyLoad and stage logs for container stuffing and exportMaintain proper pile organization and yard flowSupport container loading operations with production targetsFollow exclusion zones and equipment traffic patternsConduct daily pre-trip inspections of assigned equipmentReport mechanical issues immediatelyMaintain housekeeping standards in work areaFollow all TimberEye safety protocols and PPE requirementsAssist with general yard duties as neededWork with a team to execute daily and weekly container output goalsRequired Qualifications2 years experience operating heavy equipment (log grapple loaders, knucklebooms, or similar)Experience in logging, forestry, lumber, port, or industrial yard operationsAbility to operate in high-volume/pressure production environmentsStrong spatial awareness and equipment controlReliable attendanceAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to lift 50 lbs when requiredValid driver’s licensePreferred ExperienceContainer loading or export yard experienceExperience in fumigation or regulated export environmentsKnowledge of log grades and sortingExperience operating in port-adjacent facilitiesBasic mechanical troubleshooting abilitySafety ExpectationsThis is a safety-critical role.Operators must:Wear required PPE at all timesAdhere to 100’ exclusion zones during fumigation eventsFollow pedestrian lane markings and equipment right-of-way rulesParticipate in mandatory safety training and testingCommit to drug free environment standardsIf you cannot work within structured safety systems, this role is not a fit.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)Overtime opportunitiesPerformance-based advancementHealth benefits (if applicable by location)Work ScheduleFull-timeMonday–Friday (some Saturdays/Sundays based on production schedules)Early start times typical of yard operations
