Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations while working alongside the team during service.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff through clear communication and consistent leadership.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability and quality standards.
- Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture built on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and execute high-quality food with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Maintain recipe standards, food presentation, and portion consistency.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal features, and recipe testing.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation to minimize waste and control food costs.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Coordinate prep production and ensure the kitchen is set up for successful service.
- Monitor labor and scheduling to support efficient operations.
- Work closely with ownership and management to improve systems, service, and overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a healthy work ethic and a team-first mindset.
- Proven ability to lead, teach, coach, and motivate others.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, and food cost control.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy services.
- Creative mindset with a passion for quality ingredients and hospitality.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
