Opportunity, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Timber Technologies Solutions is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, team player to join our company in the position of . This position reports to the VP of Sales.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Responsibilities include:
- Estimating Glulam projects including, Glulam Post Frame Columns, Glulam Beams & Rafters, Timber Trusses and GLT Mass Timber.
- Utilize estimating software to identify, determine, and recommend the products and quantities needed.
- Communicate with various stakeholders to determine the needs of the project.
- Work with sales and special operations teams to deliver customized solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with sales and the customer on estimate review.
- Using point of sale and vendor relationships, formulate a complete, accurate estimate.
- Track estimates to ensure timely delivery to the customer.
- Because of the scope and scale of some of these projects, clear communication with various stakeholders (team members, customers, vendors, architects, and builders) is critical.
Language and Technological Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret residential and/or commercial plans and specifications.
Strong computer and estimating software skills ideally including knowledge of Woodworks, ProCore, CAD Software, Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis with Microsoft Excel.
Education and / or Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2-year degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating; or four years’ experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
This is primarily an office environment. However, this position could require travel to and from job sites and client offices. Therefore, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.
