Schedule: P/T ON CALL weekends, weekdays

You Will Enjoy
This position is a team member of the Community Life Services (CLS) Timber Ridge. The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transporting of residents to and from various individual and group activities, including medical appointments. This position offers excellent customer service and makes the needs of our residents a priority.
Essential Job Duties
Must be also to sit in a vehicle for up to six hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Must have the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, cold, heat) for short periods of time. Must have good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads.

- High School education preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- The candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- The candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and/or a TB skin test.
- Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Essential Job Duties
- Transports residents to scheduled activities and medical appointment rides.
- Completes a safety check of the vehicle before transporting residents.
- Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled trips.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle, inside and out.
- Inspect vehicles and observe safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures.
- Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
- Be familiar with vehicle operations and available to drive each vehicle when needed.
- Ability to react calmly in emergency situations and be considerate of other drivers.
- Must be able to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community Procedures and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Offer excellent customer service to the residents and employees of Timber Ridge & Briarwood.
- High School diploma required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.
- Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
