Summer Camp Counselor - (Male Cabin Leader)

Disciple campers. Build relationships. Lead with purpose.

As a Cabin Leader, you’ll guide a group of campers each week, caring for their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs while helping them grow in faith and experience all camp has to offer.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead daily Bible time, devotions, and memory verse activities
• Build relationships and get to know each camper individually
• Manage daily cabin routines—schedules, clean-up, lights out, and more
• Help campers sign up for and enjoy daily camp activities
• Track health needs and assist with med delivery as needed
• Communicate with your Village Leader about camper needs and cabin updates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming cabin environment
• Write camper notes and participate in weekly check-ins
• Assist with camper arrival/departure on weekends
• Participate in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
• Flex into other roles and temporary assignments to other duties if needed

• Shows a positive and cooperative attitude of ministry to the position, guests, and fellow employees.

Positional

• Interested in working with children.
• Experience in working with children in 2nd-12th grades is preferred.
• Able to care for campers’ physical need has excellent communication skills and the ability to teach and lead others.
• Capable of providing campers with spiritual encouragement and support, consistent with the spiritual truths found in the Statement of Faith.
• Is able to share the gospel with others; is able to pray with others.
• Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain campground in all seasons of the year; able to be on one’s feet for long periods of time.

This role is designated for a male cabin leader as a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) due to supervision of male campers in sleeping quarters, changing areas, and private facilities.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.
