Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hardscape/Land Development Supervisor to lead and oversee land development and hardscape projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive knowledge of various construction disciplines, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors. This role involves supervising on-site operations, ensuring project quality, safety compliance, and timely completion of projects related to hardscape installation, land development, and site improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of land development and hardscape projects, including excavation, paving, masonry, concrete finishing, and landscape installation.
  • Oversee the use of heavy equipment operation, power tools, hand tools, and specialized machinery to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution.
  • Manage construction inspection processes to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Estimate project costs using construction estimating techniques; assist with budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project progress.
  • Ensure quality control through regular site inspections and adherence to design plans such as masonry, stucco, roofing, tile laying, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, drywall installation, caulking, plastering, fabrication, restoration work, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, construction painting, concrete forming & finishing.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Document project progress through reports and photographs; manage schedules to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on land development or hardscape projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction disciplines including masonry, concrete finishing, carpentry (including framing), roofing, plumbing & electrical experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics; experience with Bluebeam software is a plus.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise crews and subcontractors effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in project planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites; OSHA certification is desirable.
  • Valid license or relevant certifications preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a dynamic team dedicated to quality craftsmanship in land development and hardscape construction.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $43,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
