Tim Sign & Lighting Service Inc is looking for a skilled Sign Installer to join our team in Meriden, CT! This is a hands-on role where you'll bring brands to life by installing and maintaining a variety of signage and lighting systems. Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial signs and lighting systems at customer locations
- Operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and other equipment to access elevated installation sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and installation diagrams
- Perform electrical connections and wiring for illuminated signage
- Ensure all installations meet safety codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site during installations and service calls
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition
Requirements:
- Prior experience in sign installation, electrical work, or a related trade preferred
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lift equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to perform wiring tasks safely
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills
