Responsibilities
- Manage the entire automotive financing process, including loan application review, credit analysis, and transaction structuring to optimize deal profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by providing transparent financing options and upselling appropriate insurance products such as automotive financing and insurance (F&I).
- Ensure all loan processing activities comply with industry regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), title processing standards, and dealership policies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure deals that meet customer needs while adhering to financial regulatory compliance.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis using financial software and perform basic math calculations to evaluate borrower eligibility.
- Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to secure favorable financing arrangements while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on automotive sales industry regulations, financial compliance standards, and local dealership requirements to uphold integrity and transparency in all transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a loan officer or in a similar financial services role within the automotive or dealership industry.
- Strong background in customer relationship management, upselling, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with automotive financing processes, including credit analysis, contract preparation, TILA compliance, and title processing.
- Knowledge of financial software systems used for loan processing and credit evaluation.
- Excellent math skills with proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry.
- Understanding of automotive sales industry regulations and dealership operations.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and confidently.
