Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and shipping automotive parts while maintaining accurate inventory records. This role supports the Parts Department by ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive daily shipments of Hyundai parts and accessories.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect parts for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Label, stock, and organize inventory according to dealership procedures.
• Pull, package, and prepare parts for customer pickup, delivery, and shipment.
• Process outbound shipments using approved carriers and shipping software.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the dealership management system (DMS).
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely, as required.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Coordinate with Parts Advisors, Service Technicians, and vendors to ensure timely parts availability.
• Assist customers by locating and distributing parts efficiently.
• Follow Hyundai and dealership policies regarding inventory control, warranty returns, and hazardous materials handling.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Parts Manager to support the efficient operation of the Parts Department.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or automotive parts preferred.
• Knowledge of Hyundai parts and dealership operations is a plus.
• Experience with dealership management systems preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
