What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Language Immersion Tutor position at TILT Consulting LLC?
About the Role:
We are looking for a native or highly fluent Spanish educator to lead immersive language instruction for two students (ages 8 and 10). Classes will be held in our dedicated 1,800-square-foot micro-school office space. Rather than traditional grammar worksheets, our school focuses on holistic and community-based learning. We want an experiential, content-based approach—teaching Spanish through active projects like cooking in our kitchenette, art, storytelling, and indoor gardening/agriculture concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 90-minute enrichment sessions primarily in Spanish.
- Build conversational confidence through natural interaction, games, and culture-rich activities tailored for elementary/middle school ages.
- Adapt content so the 8-year-old and 10-year-old can comfortably participate and collaborate together.
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Experience teaching children or working in immersion settings (dual-language schools, private tutoring, or classroom).
- Energetic, creative, and comfortable leading project-based learning.
- Ability to commute to and teach in-person at our private educational office space.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and deliver individualized instructions effectively
- Familiarity with learning technology, e-learning platforms, and digital tools for remote instruction
- Excellent writing skills for lesson planning, student assessments, and instructional materials
Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 per week
