Pay Range: $14 - $16 per hour - Review after 90days

As a Cook in our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing food orders according to our recipes and specifications, while ensuring that all orders are cooked in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your workstation and adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will be an important part of a dedicated team who knows the importance of communication and willingness it takes to create the delicious food that we are known for. The ideal candidate will have experience in chopping vegetables, food prep/cooking, inventory, and sanitation guidelines.
Responsibilities:

- Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
- Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats
- Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
- Parboiling food, reducing sauces and starting first steps in various dishes
- Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen
- Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
- Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupply
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a prep cook
- Knowledge of food prep and cooking techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and work independently
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
