Job Summary
The Chemical Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of chemical production processes, ensuring that safety, quality, and production standards are met. This role involves supervising a team of operators, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Chemical Operations Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing production efficiency, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions / General Accountabilities
- Supervises the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
- Plans, develops, or implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
- Issues shipping instructions and provides routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Confers with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control or purchasing.
- Responds to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
- Develops and documents standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
- Develop or implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
- Tracks and traces goods while they are on the route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
- Interviews, selects, and trains warehouse and supervisory personnel.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or management
- Forklift Certified (preferred)
- Understanding of chemical processes.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking.
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.

- Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
