About the Utility
Tillamook People’s Utility District (PUD) is a customer-owned electric distribution utility providing electric service in Tillamook County and parts of Clatsop and Yamhill Counties in Oregon. Currently we serve about 21,000 customers in an area of 1,125 square miles.
PUDs tailor services to meet the needs of those they serve, and Tillamook PUD is no exception. We offer a wide array of programs for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Programs include weatherization, lighting efficiency, heat pump programs and much more.

About the Position
Tillamook PUD is offering a one-year employment opportunity for a 2026/2027 High School Senior (16 years or older). Applicants are required to submit a completed application, cover letter, and one letter of recommendation. Application materials are due by May 18, 2026.
Specific job tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Sweeping
- Pressure washing
- Putting tools and supplies away
- Detailing vehicles (washing and vacuuming)
- Some painting
- Assisting mechanics with oil changes
- Set-up for car washes

Work Environment:
- Greasy, oily, dirty
- Some duties are outside in Tillamook weather
- The mechanics’ shop may be cold at times
Wages/Start Date:
- $19 per hour
- Start date approximately mid-June
Hours:
- During school breaks, full-time (summer, winter, and spring):
- Tuesday – Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
- When school is in session:
- Tuesday – Friday, preferred schedule between 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm, 2 hours per day (minimum)
