Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the agency’s finances and budgeting.
- Prepare monthly payroll and ensure compliance with county, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, journals, and accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage restricted and unrestricted grant funds, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking.
- Supervise and provide direction to finance team members.
- Monitor cash accounts, manage internal controls, and reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare financial reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and funding/regulatory entities.
- Lead annual budget development and monitor variances throughout the year.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and grant restrictions.
- Oversee audits, implement internal controls, and mitigate financial risks.
- Track and report on agency investment accounts.
- Maintain accurate asset and equipment inventory.
- Support compliance initiatives to ensure funding continuity and prevent audit deficiencies.
- Assist management teams with financial research to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accounting procedure manuals and cross-train designated staff.
- Provide financial data and research for grant proposal development.
- Balance accounting software programs monthly and prepare fiscal reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 5 years of finance, billing, or accounting experience.
- Nonprofit and grant accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual – Spanish.
- CPA certification.
- Experience with medical services billing (Medicare and Medicaid).

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged computer use.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Occasional extended hours may be required.
