Production Lead

What you will do:
The Production Lead is responsible for keeping the production and milk receiving areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient work order.
Here’s a day in the life:
- Complex Problem Solving - Identifying Complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Dairy Science – Understands the components of milk, starter bacteria, and other ingredients, and the processing of making dairy products to a specification
- Statistical Process Control – Understands basic statistics and their application in understanding a process and how it is responding to correction
- Physics – Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships
- Systems Evaluation – Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
- Judgment and decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Innovation – Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems
- Equipment maintenance – Performing basic routine maintenance on equipment and determine when other maintenance is need
- Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors deciding what to do about it
- Operation and Control – Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Analytical Thinking – Job requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems
- Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
- Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications
- Negotiation – Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
- Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others
- Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to other’s actions
- Social perceptiveness – Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do

- Learning Strategies – Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of Food Manufacturing Experience
- Prior Lead experience or education preferred
