What you will do:
The Marketing Director, Omni-Shopper defines and leads the strategy, execution, and performance of Tillamook’s shopper and retail marketing across priority customers. This role is accountable for translating marketing strategy into customer-specific growth plans, ensuring strong alignment between Marketing and Sales to drive measurable business outcomes.
As the critical bridge between marketing strategy, customer strategy, and in-market execution, the Director shapes how marketing investments show up across retailers, eCommerce platforms, retail media networks, and emerging channels.
Operating at the intersection of brand, commerce, and media, this leader sets the strategic direction for shopper marketing and retail media, influences enterprise decision-making, and builds the capabilities required to compete in a rapidly evolving omnichannel landscape.
The Director builds organizational capability in shopper marketing and retail media while leading cross-functional collaboration across Marketing and Sales functions, as well as agency partnerships.

Here’s a day in the life:
Shopper & Omni-Channel Strategy
- Lead the evolution of Tillamook’s shopper marketing and retail media approach, incorporating emerging channels and capabilities
- Serve as a strategic contributor to Joint Business Planning with key customers by ensuring insights, activations, and investments are integrated into long-range customer growth plans
- Own the development of customer-specific marketing strategies aligned with marketing priorities and commercialization objectives
- Translate annual marketing plans into omnichannel activation strategies across retail, search, and customer-owned platforms
- Drive end-to-end commercialization of marketing plans at key customers, including development, activation, and execution
- Partner with Sales to develop compelling, insight-driven customer presentations and business cases
- Ensure alignment between marketing strategy, category growth, and customer-specific opportunities
- Own the strategic planning, allocation, and optimization of investments across priority customers
- Oversee eCommerce content strategy and execution, including digital shelf optimization and syndication
- Partner across Marketing, Sales, and external partners to scale retail media investments and performance
- Ensure seamless integration of shopper marketing with owned, earned, and paid digital channels
- Serve as a key partner to Marketing Directors and VP to shape the integrated marketing plan
- Serve as a key partner to Sales Directors and VPs to align priorities and drive execution
- Act as the voice of the customer and shopper within Marketing planning
- Influence decision-making across functions to optimize enterprise outcomes
- Lead and optimize the shopper marketing agency relationship, including annual scope and fee negotiation, strategy development, execution, and performance management
- Drive integration across agency partners to ensure consistent, high-impact execution
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold partners accountable for results
- Manage a team of 4 manager-level and above, who are located in both Portland and Cincinnati
- Build and lead a high-performing team, including development of direct reports and broader capability within the organization
- Define and scale best practices, tools, and training for shopper marketing and omnichannel execution
- Coach and develop talent to strengthen strategic thinking and commercial impact
- Define and build the future shopper marketing capability required to compete at national scale (evolving operating models, tools, processes, and talent to support increasingly complex ecosystems over the next 3–5 years)
- Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks for effectiveness that tie to enterprise business objectives, such as topline sales, households, and profitability
- Lead post program evaluation, learning agendas, and optimization to improve effectiveness over time and inform future planning cycles.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and ways of working
- Institutionalize a disciplined test and learn approach
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in omni-shopper marketing and/or retail media within CPG or related industries
- Proven experience leading omnichannel / retail marketing strategies across major national customers
- Track record of driving measurable business results through marketing execution
- Experience working in highly cross-functional environments with Sales and Finance
- Experience leading agencies and external partners to deliver integrated, high-impact work
