Territory Sales Manager Job Description

Tile Redi is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to serve the Greater Denver area. This position reports to the Director of Commercial Sales. The core function of the role is to identify, develop relationships with, and sell our products to key decision makers including home builders, general contractors, trade sub-contractors, and distribution partners in the Single-Family Home building market segment.

Tile Redi is the innovator and market leader of one-piece, easy-to-install shower pans that are pre-pitched with integrated curbs and entrances, splash walls, and PVC drains. We also offer complementary products like shelves, benches, niches, and ledges. As the name suggests, all our products are Ready to Tile™, meaning installers can set tiles directly onto the leak-proof surface.

 

Our goal is to make the shower selection and installation process as simple as possible. Our products are engineered to streamline residential and institutional shower installation projects for building professionals and contractors, saving them valuable time and labor. That allows them to provide customers with an affordable, high-quality, customizable shower space solution.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with home builders, contractors, plumbing and tile trades, and distributors in the Single-Family Home building and remodeling segment.
  • Stay knowledgeable of all Tile Redi products, pricing, programs, and sales & marketing tools.
  • Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify new project opportunities through networking, market research, Lunch and Learns, trade shows, and training events, with a large focus on production home builder pull-through sales.
  • Create and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Travel routinely within the assigned territory to maintain relationships, conduct product demos, and assist with installations.
  • Work with contractors and dealers to drive pull-through sales of Tile Redi products via distribution partners, ensuring adequate distribution in the assigned market.
  • Collaborate directly on job sites with contractors and installers to ensure accurate, high-quality installations.
  • Train key influencers and installers; assist with demos, installs, and product presentations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Report weekly progress of the pipeline and proposals through business reviews and presentations to management.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline; track opportunities; gather and analyze competitive and industry insights.
  • Recommend improvements to business development processes and systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience selling building products/materials, or 4 years in a field sales role focused on product sales.
  • Experience selling directly to home builders and/or through distribution is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop long-term strategic relationships with decision makers.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to cold call potential clients.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Professional selling skills required.
  • Knowledge of (or ability to learn) plumbing and tiling is required.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritization, scheduling, time management, and attention to detail.
