Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of tile surfaces across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision craftsmanship and ensure durable, high-quality finishes. Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare surfaces accurately using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise tile placement.
• Cut, shape, and install tiles using hand tools and power tools, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Mix and apply adhesives, grout, caulking, and sealants to secure tiles and prevent water damage or deterioration.
• Read schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications for flooring installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
• Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling concrete floors or repairing water damage before tile installation.
• Assist with related tasks including cabinetry installation, remodeling projects, construction painting, buffing floors, and floor care maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tile Installation, flooring installation with a strong understanding of schematic reading and blueprint interpretation.
• Proven skill in waterproofing and shower installation.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws, as well as power tools required for cutting and shaping tiles.
• Familiarity with the restoration industry experience including water damage restoration techniques and floor care procedures.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on safety practices and teamwork.

Duties

• Assist with preparing surfaces and substrates for tile and flooring installation, including cleaning, leveling, and measuring
• Support the layout and interpretation of technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise placement of tiles and materials
• Handle manual tasks such as mixing adhesives, caulking, trimming, and cutting building materials using hand tools and power tools
• Aid in the installation of various flooring types including epoxy floors, vinyl, hardwood, carpet, and tile laying
• Participate in floor refinishing, buffing, water damage restoration, and floor care projects to restore or enhance surfaces
• Ensure adherence to building installation safety compliance standards at all times during project execution
• Assist with fixture installation, cabinet setup, painting touch-ups, remodeling tasks, and other building material installations as directed

Skills

• Basic understanding of construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
• Experience with various flooring installations such as epoxy floors, vinyl floors, hardwoods, tiles, carpets, and floor refinishing techniques
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, trowels) and power tools necessary for cutting, shaping, and installing materials
• Knowledge of building material installation safety protocols and adherence to safety regulations on construction sites
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy or awkward loads during material transport or installation
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction plans to support accurate project execution
• Previous construction site experience or handyman background is highly advantageous for understanding project workflows
