Responsibilities
The mission of TikTok's Global Security Organization is to build and earn trust by reducing risk and securing our businesses and products. The Control and Validation team's responsibilities include designing and implementing IT security solutions that address the organization's needs, assessing risks and vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate them, validation of security technical controls. This role will be responsible for defining enterprise security technical controls and then building technical validations within the TikTok environments to ensure compliance. By implementing the validation of these enterprise security controls, this role will work with GSO GRC and cross functional teams to build a measurable and repeatable process in order to continuously uplift the security posture of our environment.
Responsibilities
- Define measurable technical security controls for the enterprise security environment based on common global frameworks. The enterprise security environment includes employee laptops, email technologies, and common office building computing resources such as conference room tech, servers, and IoT devices.
- Design and implement technical validations to technical security controls in the enterprise security environment using existing infrastructure and utilities, or supplementing with additional technologies as required.
- Work with cross functional teams to identify control gaps and assist those teams with plans for remediation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with automated security testing and/or security automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
- Strong product or development experience in enterprise security tools (firewalls, proxies, security logging solutions, WAF, HIDS, EDR, etc)
- Strong understanding of typical GRC security policies, and prior experience in breaking down policies to technical controls.
- Proficiency in at least one programming languages: Python, Java, Go, Bash, C/C , shell; Having excellent debugging skills.
- Good knowledge of BAS(Breach As a Service) like frameworks and experience using a BAS solution in a large environment.
- While the focus is enterprise security related domains, a broad knowledge of all security domains is a plus.
- Excellent team-working skills are needed. Previous successful working experience through different time zones is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.

【For Pay Transparency】 Compensation Description (Annually) - Washington, DC
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is 106920 - 176400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
