What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Daycare/Grooming assistants position at Tiki Tails Dog Resort?
This position is meant for someone with experience working in all aspects of the pet industry, and looking for diversity in their position within a quickly growing company.
This position is great for former receptionists, grooming assistants or veterinary technicians.
Required:
Looking for someone looking in all aspects of our company:
- Daycare setting, Reception, customer service, assisting with nail trims and bathing
Your own vehicle for transportation
Computer skills and working with software systems/scheduling is a must
Preferred Prior Experience in:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience with working at a Veterinary clinic, Groomer or Pet Resort
Have knowledge of vaccine protocols
Experience with nail trimming
Duties:
Daycare setting
-Interacting with groups of dogs, and intervening in unwanted energy/behaviors
-Evaluating dogs behavior to join our daycare
-Cleaning up after the dogs in relief areas
Reception Setting
-Receive dogs at drop off and leashing up for departure at pick up
-Answer phone calls, emails and greet clients as they walk in
-Accurately explain our requirements and policies with clients
-Understand and review veterinary records
-Navigate and utilize software systems
-Check in/out boarding, daycare and grooming dogs with financial accuracy
-Schedule appointments
-Keeping lobby and reception area cleaned and organized
-Assist with walk in services (Nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression, animal restraint)
Grooming Setting:
-Nail trimming/dremel
-Bathing
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation is based on experience level and capabilities to fulfill the job requirements. Really looking for a strong team member here that is good at multitasking. Wages will be discussed in interview process.

Shifts:
-Part time leading to full time as you gain experience
-Morning, Afternoon and some weekend shifts are required.
