About Us
TIGI Hairdressing Academy is a premier cosmetology and barbering school dedicated to providing high-level education, hands-on training, and real-world experience to our students. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Barbering Instructor to join our team and help shape the next generation of barbers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and skilled barber with a passion for education. This is a part-time position, with Fridays and Saturdays being mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and mentor students in barbering techniques (cutting, fading, shaving, styling, etc.)
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and guidance
- Maintain a positive, professional, and engaging learning environment
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure compliance with all state board and school regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 3* years of professional barbering experience*
- Valid Connecticut Barbering License (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for teaching and developing students
- Reliable and professional
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced barbershop environment
