About Us:

Founded in 1887, Tigerton Lumber Company is a premium northern hardwoods lumber producer located in Tigerton, WI. With over a century of experience and company history, our organization is committed to producing best in class hardwood lumber products while practicing sustainable and renewable forest management.

Our team has an opening for a Machine Operator. This position is responsible for safely and successfully operating machinery in the lumber manufacturing process. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to minimize downtime while ensuring a safe working environment.

Job Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety guidelines and company safety policies. Nurture a culture of safety
• Operate sawmill equipment safely and efficiently, including band head saw rig
• Perform daily and monthly safety inspections
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety protocols
• Monitor production to ensure materials meet quality specifications
• Adjust machinery settings to maintain product standards
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn equipment operation and internal systems
• Experience in manufacturing, sawmill, or heavy equipment operation a plus (but not required)

Starting wage commensurate with experience.
