CNC Machinist Programmer/Setup

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer/Setup to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, including Brother, Haas, & Southwest milling machines utilizing Mastercam as the programming software. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and CAD/CAM software to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities

• Develop and modify CNC programs using Mastercam software for various machining operations.
• Set up CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and workpieces are in place.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Operate CNC equipment such as Fanuc-controlled machines with precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers.
• Perform machine maintenance, calibration, tool changes, and adjustments to optimize machining processes.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine issues related to tooling, or mechanical problems.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols involving hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation when necessary.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience in CNC programming (Mastercam) and setup for milling machines.
• Proficiency with general blueprint reading skills.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and mechanical concepts.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC controllers (Brother, Haas, Southwest).
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling setups.
• Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
