Montrose County, Colorado Farm in search of Farm and Ranch Worker!
We are seeking a reliable Farm and Ranch Manager that will be essential to daily operations that will involve a variety of tasks relating to crop production, animal care, and equipment operation and maintenance. This role requires a strong work ethic, versatility, self motivation, to be proactive and the ability to work outdoors in a dynamic environment. We are looking for a long term reliable person to fill this position with room for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, ensuring adherence to agricultural practices.
- Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health and well-being.
- Assisted with implementing animal welfare practices for vaccinations and transportation.
- Operate and maintain a variety of farm implements, machinery, and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and a varity of excavation equipment, following safety protocols.
- Participate in maintaining and construct fences, barns, and other farm facilities.
- Engage in routine tasks such as irrigation, weeding, and pesticide and herbicide applications as needed.
- Keep detailed records of farm operations, including crop yields and livestock health.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and support various farming and ranching activities.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is a must.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in farming, ranching, or agricultural work is highly regarded.
- Ability to operate farm machinery and tools safely and effectively.
- Physical endurance to handle outdoor work, heavy lifting, and long hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to farming and animal care best practices.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Working Conditions:
- The job is primarily outdoors, subject to various weather conditions.
