About Tiftarea Psychiatric and Counseling Services, LLC:
Tiftarea Psychiatric and Counseling Services (TPACS) is a growing outpatient mental health practice dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of individuals and families in Tifton and surrounding communities. We provide comprehensive mental health and substance use services in collaboration with community partners and court programs.
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Group Facilitator to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Group Facilitator will provide structured group facilitation and substance abuse treatment services within our outpatient setting. Services may include psychoeducation, substance use prevention education, behavioral health support, and collaboration with community or court-related programs when applicable.
This is a fully on-site position. Remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate structured substance abuse and behavioral health groups
- Provide psychoeducational instruction and relapse prevention support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations
- Participate in court-related staffing or community collaboration as applicable
- Maintain participant charts and ensure proper record handling
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Substance Abuse Treatment, or a related behavioral health field
OR
- Active certification related to substance abuse treatment (e.g., Certified Addiction Counselor or other recognized substance abuse credential)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently as an independent contractor
- Current professional liability (malpractice) insurance
- Compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage group dynamics effectively
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience facilitating substance use or behavioral health groups
- Experience working with court-involved or community-based populations
- Familiarity with ICD-10 documentation standards
