Title: Manufacturing Engineer
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Purpose:
Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. Position will be responsible for assessing facilities resources & developing/managing plan to optimize company resources.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows
- Specify and install production equipment and tooling
- Improve throughput, quality, and cost-efficiency on the line
- Solve process issues (e.g., bottlenecks, scrap, cycle time)
- Work closely with production, quality, and design teams
- Implement OPEX, lean manufacturing, and automation
- Determining facility and equipment specifications and project timelines
- Supporting and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, or equipment
- Confirm equipment specifications & work closely with maintenance on projects
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
- At least 3 yrs of experience as manufacturing engineer or in a similar role
- Experience with Autodesk (Autocad, Inventor, MS office, Excel) a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills b/t necessary depts
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast paced manufacturing environment
