Job Title: Infant Teacher

Supervises: Infant Aide

SUMMARY PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Infant Teacher is responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the Infant classroom; is responsible for the general supervision and management of 5 children and up to 12 children with an aide. Children in the infant classroom are ages 6 weeks to 18 months
QUALIFICATIONS :
Preferred Education : 4 year Degree in Early Childhood
Minimum Education : 2 year Associate Degree in Early Childhood
Preferred Experience: 3 years teaching experience in a toddler classroom
Minimum Experience: 1 year in an early childhood setting
Preferred Personal: Certified in CPR, Child Abuse. First Aide, Communicable Disease:
Ability to relate well with parents as well as children
Minimum Personal: 18 years of age. Willing to attend required trainings.

Pay based on Education and Experience
DUTIES :
- To plan, supervise and implement the program for the infant class in accordance with state licensing regulations and the policies and philosophy of the center.
- To establish secure, trusting and nurturing relationships with each infant as well as fulfill all needs with parents wished regarding each toddlers daily schedules (feeding, diapering, napping, etc)
- To handle the arrangement, appearance, décor and learning environment of the classroom.
- To maintain all necessary logs, reports, attendances and daily communication sheets to ensure communication with parents; and complete all state and USDA requirements.
- To participate in recommended training programs, conferences, workshops, and other aspects of professional growth.
- To follow the procedure for opening and closing each day
- To assist in public relations events sponsored by the center.
- To attend all staff meetings.
