Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and flair, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials and regular offerings
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes efficiently
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen activities
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations
- Properly handle food products, ensuring freshness and adherence to food handling guidelines at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Experience with food handling, cooking, and food service operations in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
