We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk/Baker to join our team. This role combines customer service and hands-on baking responsibilities. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers
- Package, label, and display baked goods in an attractive manner
- Operate cash register and process transactions accurately
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Decorate baked goods as needed
- Monitor oven temperatures and ensure proper baking times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Restock ingredients and assist with inventory as needed
- Support opening and closing bakery procedures
Qualifications
- Previous bakery, food service, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
