As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform, we are seeking an Access Control Installer Technician - Security.
About the Role - An Access Control Installer Technician - Security is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security and access control systems such as card readers, intercoms, installation of intrusion detection devices, CCTV systems etc. They also provide advice and support to customers on the best access control systems/CCTV systems to meet their needs and are expected to keep pace with new technologies as they are introduced to market.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain access control systems
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning access control equipment
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and update systems as necessary
- Ensure the proper functioning of biometric scanners, card readers, and electronic locks
- Implement and program access control software
- Work with clients to customize security settings and access privileges
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of access control systems
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate access control with other security systems
- Document system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry practices
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements for enhanced security
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards
Qualifications
- Some networking experience will be needed for setting up these systems.
- Good technical knowledge and experience in electronic access control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Skills in leadership and organization a MUST.
- Be able to complete and pass a level 2 background check and medical screening.
- Work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic.
- Follow safety rules and adhere to company policies.
- Comfortable lifting at least fifty pounds, and work safely while on ladders.
