What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Tierra Mia Coffee Company?
TMC is hiring for barista positions for its Oceanside location. Experience in coffee is not required, although an interest and passion for coffee and customer service is appreciated. Tierra Mia Coffee provides flexible hours and shifts throughout the day.
Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
Serve pastries.
Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment, patio and lobby areas.
Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend, preparation descriptions and pastries.
Receive and process customer payments.
Cash handling.
Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
Demonstrate the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machines. Prepare bases for the day.
