Tierra Encantada, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN is actively expanding its brand presence across the United States. We are seeking a results-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role supports our corporate centers in attracting and hiring top talent, assisting throughout the hiring process, and helping create a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new employees. In partnership with the HR team, this position also provides cross-functional support to ensure consistency across recruiting and onboarding efforts. The role contributes to building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified early education professionals for our childcare centers and corporate office, while promoting a positive candidate and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting open roles, sourcing and engaging candidates, coordinating interviews, and assisting through offer and onboarding stages
- Assist with managing job requisitions and keeping roles updated in the system
- Proactively source candidates using tools such as the ATS, job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals
- Support and participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruiting activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Ensure candidate evaluation steps are completed, including collecting scorecards and interview feedback
- Assist in preparing offer letters and support the offer process under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Manager, ensuring alignment with pay guidelines
- Support pre-employment processes, including background checks, and help coordinate onboarding for new hires
- Onboarding
- Provide guidance and support to new hires throughout the onboarding process ensuring completion of all new hire employee forms along with access to necessary resources and tools in the HRIS platform
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in conducting orientation and ensure that the new hire completes all required documents and has solid understanding of company policies
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in conducting monthly benefits (401k, medical, dental) orientation virtual sessions in Spanish for corporate centers
- Cross-functional support:
In addition to core talent acquisition and onboarding responsibilities, this role will provide cross-functional support to the broader Human Resources team, working in partnership with HR team members to support key initiatives and day-to-day operations across the employee lifecycle. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Supporting benefits administration through reporting, data analysis, and preparation of enrollment and utilization insights
- Assisting with HR operations processes such as data entry, audits, and maintaining accuracy within the HRIS
- Contributing to special projects and process improvements across HR functions
- Providing operational support to enhance efficiency and consistency across the HR team
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field (4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree) is strongly preferred.
- Some experience in recruiting and onboarding (preferably in a high volume sector and experience recruiting hourly workers, salaried professionals, and executives) is preferred.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
- Ability to to build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and think both strategically and tactically with respect to the needs of the cross-functional teams and their talent needs
- Experience supporting both hourly and managerial staff in a multi-site environment
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and experience exercising professional discretion and maintaining confidentiality regarding all human resources related matters
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (fluent and able to read, speak, and write without translation support)
- Proficient in Google Suite for Business and Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional certification in PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP nice to have but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range is $55,000 - $65,000 depending on qualifications, education, and experience.
