Cash Application Analyst

TierPoint is experiencing tremendous growth. We have the opportunity for a Cash Application Analyst to join our team. This position will be responsible for cash applications, credit risk analyses and reporting.  The ideal candidate will ensure that cash is applied, and credit ratings are processed in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Post all cash entries—ACH, Wires, Lockbox, Credit Cards, Misc. items, Direct Debits
• Create multiple excel financial reports for executive management using VLOOKUPS & Pivot Tables 
• Prepare daily and weekly cash trending reports
• Perform cash month-end close process
• Respond to customer questions and requests for credit card & eCheck payment updates
• Sorting and actioning Cash Application emails and NetSuite cases
• Actively participate and communicate in team-based work groups to improve processes
• Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers
• Cross-training other staff members as needed
• Perform adhoc reporting as needed
• Support the accounting month end close process
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 2 - 3 years’ transferrable Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in corporate cash applications and credit risk
• Proficiency in using MS Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS and Windows-based computer applications
• Excellent with details and with a willingness to jump in and learn and perform 
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Willingness and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work both independently and with others
• Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications

 Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent areas
• Prior experience particularly in the data center industry
• Intermediate knowledge of cash applications, credit and/or receivables procedures and practices
• 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in corporate cash applications and credit risk
