Job Description
Tier X Corporation is currently hiring Quality Inspectors to support operations at the Schaeffler plant in Cheraw, South Carolina.
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented, and hard-working individuals who can work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting parts, identifying defects, sorting nonconforming material, and following all quality and safety requirements established by the customer and the company.
This position may require employees to work between 48 and 72 hours per week, depending on production needs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts and materials according to customer quality standards
- Identify visual defects and nonconforming material
- Sort and separate acceptable and defective parts
- Follow work instructions and supervisor direction
- Maintain accurate counts and production records
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all plant safety rules and procedures
- Support quality and production goals as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work between 48 and 72 hours per week as needed
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Steel toe boots may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sorting, inspection, or manufacturing
- Experience working in an automotive or industrial environment
- Ability to work day or night shift
- Ability to start immediately
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
