Company Description: Tier Power Systems designs and manufactures custom low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, and electrical enclosures that support mission-critical power infrastructure. We combine technical expertise and industry experience to manufacture low voltage to medium voltage switchgear systems integrated with advanced control solutions.

Job Summary: The Warehouse/Inventory Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all warehouse operations to support the manufacturing of power distribution equipment, including switchboards, switchgear, and panelboards. This position ensures efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, material movement, and shipment of materials while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment. The Warehouse/Inventory Manager is responsible for supervising the Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk teams, maintaining the accuracy of TPS inventory to facilitate the production schedule and arranging timely shipments of finished product. The Warehouse Manager works closely with Purchasing, Production Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, material handling, warehousing, shipping, and logistics.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure materials are accurately received, inspected, labeled, stored, and issued in accordance with company procedures and inventory control standards.
  • Coordinate material availability with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Manufacturing to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Oversee shipping operations to ensure customer orders are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Establish and Monitor warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, receiving performance, shipping accuracy, and warehouse productivity.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse organization standards that optimize space utilization, material flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO procedures, and applicable safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, storage systems, and material handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and material revisions.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, damaged materials, and non-conforming products while implementing corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Prepare reports related to inventory performance, warehouse metrics, labor utilization, and operational improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising warehouse personnel.
  • Proficiency using ERP/MRP systems (such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) for inventory transactions, material movements, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, and material handling best practices.
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials (BOMs), packing lists, purchase orders, shipping documents, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate material handling equipment or obtain company certification.
  • Experience managing cycle count programs and achieving high inventory accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the manufacturing of switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers (MCCs), or other power distribution equipment.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating industrial material handling equipment.
  • Experience working in engineered-to-order (ETO), industrial manufacturing, or electrical equipment manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and warehouse documentation requirements.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience may be substituted.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
