Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice and kick-start your career in fire protection systems! Duties
- Assist with the installation and assembly of fire sprinkler systems according to construction plans and schematics
- Learn to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics related to piping and sprinkler layouts
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and installation tasks
- Support pipefitting activities including pipe cutting, bending, soldering, welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW), and pipe welding in accordance with NFPA standards and ASME codes & standards
- Participate in rigging and pipe installation on construction sites while adhering to safety regulations and protocol guidelines
- Maintain a clean work environment by following safety procedures for power tool safety, material handling, and hazard prevention
- Assist with routine maintenance of sprinkler systems post-installation to ensure optimal operation
Experience
- No prior experience required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn the trade
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts or plumbing is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with construction site environments or manufacturing processes is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, or construction plans is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Willingness to follow safety regulations rigorously and participate in safety training sessions
- Prior exposure to HVAC or pipeline work can be helpful but is not essential
